You will think I am kidding. NO. If you are going to hike or camp in the Sierra Nevada Mountains (in the US) you can meet bears.

We spent an amazing 5 days in the capital of the United States in April, 2014. I was always curious how is this big city, after we visited San Francisco, New York and Chicago, was time to go there.

Sledding at Lake Tahoe

I love skiing - I have to tell this all the time- but I haven't yet started teaching my little one (2.5 years old) how to. Instead of skiing I wanted to go sledding and playing in the snow with her this year.

I used to be a ski instructor so it was obvious to go skiing in Winter. My favorite places in Europe were in the French Alps and now in California it's Heavenly at Lake Tahoe.

Sacramento is the capital city of California. When I heard this fact for the first time - before we moved to California - I was really surprised. Why isn't it San Francisco? Sacramento is just the sixth-largest city in California.

I love nature. I'm happy to be living in California because it's outdoor scenery is unmatched. I have never met so many deer and squirrels in a forest before. Not to mention the bears, which I haven't even seen before in the wild. We were so lucky to be able to take some pictures of these animals. Please, take a look!

We love hiking because it is so nice to be outside with our daughters. We are just walking, watching the gorgeous trees and trying to teach the kids how to be quiet and not to scare the animals away. I always think about my Hungarian aunt who loves hiking, how happy she would be to hiking with us here in California and watching the beautiful giant redwood trees.
