Istanbul is a fascinating, vibrant, big city. Actually it is the largest city in Turkey. It is an amazing place because there are so many things which you have to visit when you are there.

Its population is more than 20 million people and with this it is the second biggest city after Shanghai whose population is more than 23 million. If you are walking on the streets using the public transportation you can see how many people are around you. You will be never alone.

This was the first time I was traveling only with my husband without our kids since they were born. We planned a big nine day long trip. The plan was to fly from San Francisco to Beijing, from Beijing to Istanbul and from Istanbul to through London back to San Francisco.
