Merry Christmas

Before I go home to Budapest (Hungary) to spend the holidays with my family and friends I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year with lots of travel!

The Oakland Zoo is our favorite zoo so far. Why? Because it has the perfect size for two young kids and it is not far from our home.

How to feed the kid(s)

What a silly question, right? When we are at home with all comforts it is very easy to figure it out what and how to cook for our children. But when we are traveling it is not so easy, right?

My husband loves fishing. It brings him back to his childhood with lots of good memories. 

Halloween In The US

Halloween was new for me when I moved to the US. I am from Hungary where we don't celebrate Halloween at all.

Roadtrips

When you are sitting in the car with your little ones/ or little two's it is not always as easy as on the above picture. If you are traveling more than an hour the trip can be a disaster. I would like to describe to you how we take drives a lot with our kids as every family member could enjoy the trip at least a little bit.

Flying with kids

I have never flown so much as during the past 5 five years after we moved from Hungary to the US. In the first 3 years I had just one little one to travel with now I have two. A lot of friends of mine were asking me constantly how I can fly 12 hours alone with two kids. It is not magic but maybe I can help by sharing  my experiences.

San Francisco 1.

San Francisco is the leading financial and cultural center of Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. The population is just 825,863 which is a very few to compare to New York city where 8.337 million people live. But the city is much smaller than N.Y. If we look at ppopulation density it is the second most densely settled large city after New York City. (The population is greater than 200,000.)

We went a couple of times to Monterey which is a gorgeous city by the ocean (it's elevation is 26 feet/ 8 meters from the sea level).

When we have the opportunity to travel we are just leaving the house. This is not because we are living in an awful place :) we just love to see different things.

Budapest (Hungary)

This is my home town. This is the city where I have lived 32 years before we moved to the US. It is hard to be realistic if you are showing your home town to your kids. There are so many places which I would like to show them and so many stories connected to them.

Balaton (Hungary)

When I was a kid I spent a couple of weeks at Lake Balaton every summer. I was very happy to show my children this beautiful lake which is the biggest body of water in our small country and Central Europe as well.

Austria (Steiermark)

Since I was a kid I have traveled a lot to this small but beautiful country. Usually I was skiing there but during the summer I cycled along the Danube twice too. I love Austria. I love the green fields, the gorgeous landscape, the forests and the villages with lots of flowers.

Lassen National Park (California)

We visited Lassen Volcanic National Park three years ago but we only had Sophie then. Now we explored the park with two kids.

Istanbul (Turkey)- Part 3.

Istanbul is a fascinating, vibrant, big city. Actually it is the largest city in Turkey. It is an amazing place because there are so many things which you have to visit when you are there.

Beijing (China)- Part2.

Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China. Its population is more than 20 million people and with this it is the second biggest city after Shanghai whose population is more than 23 million. If you are walking on the streets using the public transportation you can see how many people are around you. You will be never alone.

Beijing (China)- Istanbul (Turkey) Part 1.

This was the first time I was traveling only with my husband without our kids since they were born. We planned a big nine day long trip. The plan was to fly from San Francisco to Beijing, from Beijing to Istanbul and from Istanbul to through London back to San Francisco.

Kauai is known as "the Garden Isle". It is the fourth largest and one of the most beautiful, fascinating islands of Hawai'i.

Why I Always Wanted To Go To Tahoe

Lake Tahoe was always a place that I wanted to visit since I watched the romantic movie City of Angels. I liked the nice, quite house and the beautiful view at the lake in the film and I thought I really would like to see it once in my life. I have to tell you how lucky am I because I have been there six times already in the past four years. There are still a lot of places to visit there and a lot of things to do which I haven't done before.

Skiing in Austria

Everybody is skiing in our family. Actually I am a ski instructor and I always taught kids how to learn ski before I had my own two children so we decided to travel from Hungary to Austria to ski and to show our older daughter how much fun this sport is.
